True North Constitutional Policing

Welcome to True North Constitutional Policing; a POST-approved online training course offered at no charge for Minnesota law enforcement officers.

Policing is noble work, done by noble people. By embracing constitutional principles, officers are better able to honorably serve their communities.

In this five-module course, participants will learn about historical conditions that gave rise to the Bill of Rights, examine parallels to modern social issues, and understand how the role of policing fits within a free society.

As a law enforcement officer, you have accepted an important calling. Let True North be your guide.

The artwork is fabulous, the way the lesson leads you through the different scenarios (correct or incorrect) is great.. It did a good job reinforcing what was taught in the module. It demonstrated what a good outcome looks like and what it takes to get there.

Not only would this be a good in-service program, but would be great for college law enforcement programs.

The videos and presentation were great!

Lessons are visually stimulating and keep the student engaged.

A Special Thanks

Special thanks to all the law enforcement agencies that contributed to the creation of this training and to all the officers that were willing to tell their stories, participate in the design and provide feedback. This training is dedicated to all the noble law enforcement professionals that helped create it.
